Bio System Analysis Group, FSU Jena
The aim of our group is to apply and to develop new computational methods in order to understand complex dynamical phenomena found in living systems and to use this knowledge for the design of novel organic systems.
The group has been initially funded by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany), grant 0312704A, as part of the Jena Centre for Bioinformatics. Further funding is provided by the European Union, the DFG (German Research Foundation), the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and the RLS (Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation). Since October 2008 a PhD project funded by the JSMC (Jena School for Microbial Communication) is located in the group. Further Phd fellowships are provided by HIGRADE, the IMPRS-cGBC, and the Carl-Zeiss Stiftung.
